Volunteer success and effectiveness is accomplished when volunteers are appreciated. Like rare flowers or plant life, volunteers need special care, individual attention and an opportunity to continue the growth of an organization. Most non-profit organizations could not survive without the dedicated hours of work and expertise donated by their volunteers.

Chelsea Gardens Foundation volunteers have assisted in hosting special events, and fund raising projects including speakers, lectures, and the cooking contests, etc. Volunteers have also helped with the planting and maintenance at the sign site. Among our volunteers are artists who have designed posters, invitations, and helped decorate “theme projects”. Volunteers have assisted with the Annual Drive, “Friends Membership” drive, computer projects, as well as general networking. There is a place in our “garden” for everyone.

Chelsea Garden’s volunteers do not have regular monthly meetings (everyone is busy these days); our meetings are scheduled as needed. Volunteers can contribute as much or as little time as their individual schedule permits. Think of Daylilies, they bloom for an extremely short period of time, but are varied and beautiful when in bloom and give so much pleasure. Won’t you join us and be part of this very exciting adventure?
